Panasonic PT-AX200U Projector Description:
720p Native High Definition Home Theater Projector Perfect for Gaming and Movies
The PT-AX200U home theater projector is ideal for watching sports events or playing video games in daylight conditions and surely for viewing movies in a dark room. Powerful 2,000-lumen brightness and new Light Harmonizer 2 technology make it easy for people to enjoy vibrant, dynamic images even if they don't have a special theater room. Panasonic’s advanced technologies improve color reproduction accuracy in movies, to deliver images with a
refined "Hollywood picture quality", making this projector ideal as the heart of a home theater system.
Game Mode for Stress-Free Video Game Playing
For all you gamers, the PT-AX200U features a "Game" mode that improves signal processing for better response, allowing you to play video games with minimal stress. It also reveals gradation in saturated areas to show detail that are otherwise lost in very dark areas.
Cinema 1 Mode Offers Hollywood Picture Quality in a Home Theater Projector
Panasonic worked with experts in Hollywood to create the ideal image reproduction for viewing movies with the PT-AX2000U projector. This allows the PT-AX200U to deliver true Hollywood picture quality, with prjectoed images that faithfully express the director’s artistic intent.
2x Optical Zoom Lens
The 2x optical zoom lens on this projector provides a wide throw range that gives you outstanding setup flexibility, letting you enjoy large-screen viewing in different sized rooms. Position the PT-AX2000U on a table in front of you, suspend it from the ceiling, or place it on a bookshelf behind you.
Two HDMI Inputs
Two HDMI inputs let you connect two devices, such as a BD player and game console, at the same time, using HDMI cables. This eliminates the need for an HDMI switcher.
Additional Features:
- Seven picture mode includes Cinema 1/2/3, Normal, Dynamic, Color 1/2
- 3D noise reduction for high-precision noise detection and reduction
- Scene-adaptive MPEG noise reduction effectively blocks regular noise and minimizes mosquito noise
- Scene adaptive resizing LSI improves quality when resizing 480p images or those from other sources with resolution lower than the PT-AX200U’s native resolution

Ecology Conscious Design
Panasonic supports environmentally responsible manufacturing and disposal of electronic equipment and works consciously to minimize the impact our products have on our overburdened ecosystem. Through careful consideration of the way our projectors are designed, produced and delivered, we strive for the most efficient use of resources and incorporate environmentally-friendly and recyclable material whenever possible in the manufacturing and packaging process. Based on our industrial ecology policy, we have taken the following
steps with our projectors:
- Use of lead-free solder to mount components on the printed circuit boards
- No use of halogenated flame retardants in any part of the cabinet
- No polystyrene foam used in the boxes or packing materials
- Non-hazardous lead-free glass used for the lens
- Non-coated cabinet for easy recycling
- The packing case and operating manual both made from recycled paper
In addition, with dwindling natural resources and rising energy costs, Panasonic also strives to enhance and
extend our projector performance throughout the product life cycle through added efficiencies such as:
- Lamp power switching to reduce and regulate power consumption
- Standby power mode that reduces energy consumption to just 0.08 watts
- Auto Power Save function that activates standby mode when no signal is input

Panasonic PT-AX200U Review
Affordable 720p projector may be the best big-screen gaming solution ever.
by Gerry Block, ign.com
February 4, 2008 - We'll admit we've got a real affinity for projectors at IGN Gear. We like them for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that they're the only option for enjoying some 110-inch gaming for less than $70,000. They're also compact, and a lot easier to move than even small panel HDTVs. There are some downsides to the technology however, mostly having to do with the room in which a projector is installed. A lot of wall space for the image is an obvious necessity, as is enough throw distance between wall and projector for the projected image to expand to the desired size. [Read more]

Panasonic PT-AX200U 3LCD Home Theater Projector - Product Review From Robert Silva,
Your Guide to Home Theater.
Guide Rating - 5-star
The Bottom Line
At an MSRP of $1,999, the Panasonic PT-AX200U 3LCD projector is an upgrade of its popular PT-AX100U, which I reviewed previously. Two improvements include better detail performance with dark scenes and better motion response for video game play. With its native 720p resolution and high light output, the video quality is excellent. Flesh tones, overall color saturation, and contrast levels provide a very natural looking image, with none of the usual LCD artifacts, such as the screen door effect. The level of performance is hard to beat in this price range. [Read more]

Panasonic PT-AX200U First LookPanasonic unveiled its new PT-AX200U LCD 720p home theater projector which is designed to target gamers. Tom Taylor, or Tsquared as he's known in the Major League Gaming community, was on-hand to demonstrate just how the PT-AX200U aids in removing game lack associated with online play. The system boosts speed by 3x (though it wasn't expressed exactly how this functioned) in an effort to lower game lag - something Tom is very familiar with. According to him, the lag was all but gone and the system made gaming much more enjoyable. An Xbox 360 was on hand to allow attendees to play him head-to-head... Taylor was gracious and only made a partial fool out of us as he gave us tips to avoid having him walk up behind us, tap us on the shoulder, and frag us...[Read entire article]
